Things to consider before drilling..
• Check area for hazards such as pipes, electricals and gas lines.
• Wear protective equipment and face protection (goggles and mask).
• If using freehand start slow and make sure to use a guide/template when drilling ;
keep as straight as possible to prevent damaging the drill and to avoid widening the hole.
• Although you can core drill dry, use water where possible to leave a cleaner hole and lessen dust/air born particles.
• Move the drill bit in and out of the whole to release debris
• If you hit a rebar/mesh, slow down.
